Roman Cocciopesto




The wonders of technology have updated one of the oldest and elegant finishes, first used by the Proenicians and then the Romans.
The ancient art of “Cocciopesto” can achieve an interior finish and atmosphere that is both cosy and modern, encompassing both a look to the past and a nod to the future.
The product transforms and modernizes the mottled effect and feel of this noble antique patina.





Preparation

VEICOT is produced in the NEUTRAL BASE
The colours in the shade card are obtained by adding the toner to the 2,5 l. NEUTRAL BASE in variable quantities according to the intensity of the colour desired.
Add toner directly to the packaging of 2,5 l. NEUTRAL BASE and mix with a spatula until completely blended.


The colours of the “C” series are obtained by adding ½ toner to the NEUTRAL BASE.
The colours of the “B” series are obtained by adding 1 toner to the NEUTRAL BASE.
The colours of the “A” series are obtained by adding 2 toners to the NEUTRAL BASE.





Yield: 120 ÷150 ml/sqmt  ( 2.500 ml. ~ 18 ÷ 20 sqmt )
Tools cleaning: H2O ~ 30 °C

Application


Apply VEICOTon sound, clean and dry surfaces (allow at least 3-4 weeks before applying on new plaster and any matured patching).Extremely porous surfaces, painted in tempera, smoothing plaster or plasterboard, should received a primer coat of sealer as pre-treatment (ISOFARB ACR-2).


1 Apply one or two coats of FONDO VEICOT with a roller

2-3 When the surface is dry apply VEICOT with a brush on a 2-3 sqmt. sized area without any dilution, making sure that it is evenly distributed to avoid excessive paints.

3  When it begins to dry (between 3 - 5 minutes) finish with the proper flexible spatula, exerting a slight pressure onto the surface.
